Argha Nayak's journey in plant biotechnology began over 17 years ago, driven by a deep fascination with tissue culture science and a vision to build world-class propagation laboratories from scratch. His core expertise lies in the end-to-end setup and technical management of tissue culture laboratories — a discipline where he has few peers in India.

Specializing in banana tissue culture, Argha has become one of the most trusted names in the field. His expertise spans the entire spectrum — from designing sterile culture media and establishing explant protocols, to scaling production in commercial-grade laboratories. Over the years, he has successfully established and operationalized 6 tissue culture laboratories, each running profitably.

Today, Argha operates Evergene Life Sciences — his own state-of-the-art tissue culture laboratory in Bhiringi, Durgapur (PIN: 712213) — with an annual production capacity of 5 lakh plants. Simultaneously, he extends his expertise as a consultant to three other laboratories, helping them optimize operations and achieve sustainable profitability.

Beyond live plant material, Argha has diversified into the production of premium dry banana powder — finding applications in cosmetic formulations and food processing. His philosophy: apply the rigors of science to every decision, and results will speak for themselves.
